Grünblick
Green is the theme here: the headboard is made of green-glazed tiles, and the large windows look out into the greenery – that is where the name comes from. A particularly quiet category.

Accessible Room

In all three suites
Each suite is named after the Kachelofen model that stands in it. All three have their own stove, their own kitchen and a separate sleeping area – along with everything the rooms take for granted. In Suite DaVinci the stove lights at the touch of a button or by temperature control; Castello and Infinita have log-fired stoves you light yourself – we provide the firewood.
Suite Castello
The only room in the whole house with a small balcony. Plus a kitchenette, a dining spot at the round table and a separate sleeping area.

Suite DaVinci
The deep-blue glazed Kachelofen gives this suite its name. In front of it, the living area with a large sofa and armchairs; behind it, a separate bedroom – and a dining table for evenings you would rather spend in.

Suite Infinita

A room without steps.
At 28 m², the accessible room is one of the larger rooms in the house. A wide sliding door connects room and bathroom, and the floor runs level throughout.
In the bathroom: a level-access shower with folding seat and grab rails, grab rails by the WC, and a washbasin you can roll a wheelchair under.

Level-access shower
The entry is flat, with no rim and no step. A folding seat and grab rails are fitted, and there is a grab rail by the WC as well.

There is knee space under the washbasin, the mirror reaches low enough, and the tap can be used while seated.
Wide bathroom entrance
The sliding door is wide and does not swing into the room; the transition into the bathroom is level.

Three suites, three tiled stoves of their own. You sit in front of one, watch the flames and listen to the quiet crackle.

Radiant warmth & radiant cooling
In every room, all year round: warm from floors and surfaces in winter, cool from the same surfaces in summer. No radiators, no air-conditioning unit needed.
Wi-Fi throughout the house
Free of charge – in your room as well as in the HAFNERBAR and the seminar rooms. The password is on the information stand in your room.
Quiet
The rooms are quiet. It is one of the three things guests mention most often in their reviews.

Self check-in works around the clock. Even if your evening runs late after the trade fair or dinner, you get into the house without any fuss.
Travelling with a child?
A cot is available on request – it cannot be booked online. Email us at office@hafnerhotel.at before booking and we will tell you which room fits and set everything up.
Kitchen in the room
Grünblick and Deluxe have a kitchenette with sink, microwave and storage. Suites Castello and DaVinci have a fully equipped kitchen, the Infinita a built-in kitchenette.
Safe place for your bicycle
There is a small bicycle garage by the rear entrance. If you are riding the Danube cycle path, park your bike there instead of in front of the house.
Bathroom
Modern bathroom with walk-in shower, a generous washing area and good lighting. Hairdryer, shower gel, body lotion and tissues are provided, towels are changed daily. A bottle of mineral water awaits your arrival in the room.
Working & TV
Every room has a large smart TV and a desk or work surface, plus Wi-Fi. A kettle with a selection of teas in every category except the Standard Room; the suites also have a safe and a capsule coffee machine. On request we provide an iron and ironing board, a sewing kit or anti-allergy bedding.
Non-smoking
The whole building is non-smoking – all rooms and suites, the HAFNERBAR and the seminar rooms. Smoking is outside the house or on the HAFNERBAR terrace.
Warmth from the whole room.
Floors and wall surfaces give off the warmth, spread evenly across the room. You cannot hear the heating, and there is no draught. The air does not dry out, so you wake up without a scratchy throat.
In summer the same surfaces work the other way round: they draw warmth out of the room. Your room stays pleasantly tempered – without an air-conditioning unit above the bed.
Only the suites have a stove of their own
In the 16 rooms, warmth comes from the floors and surfaces. If you want to watch the flames right in your room, book one of the three Kachelofen suites.
A good evening without leaving the house.
HAFNERBAR: breakfast and dinner
The HAFNERBAR is on the second floor. For hotel guests the day starts there, with the breakfast buffet and the view all the way to the Ötscher. In the evening the menu runs from the Häferl – our Mostviertel poke bowl – to the burger with a Wagyu patty from the Wagyuhof in Haag, and the bar mixes its signature drinks on the roof terrace.
Short and specific.
Self check-in works around the clock. On the day of arrival, at 12:00 noon, you receive an email with your room number and a PIN code. It opens the key safe that hangs to the right of the entrance.
Your room is ready from 3 pm. If you book on short notice, your access details arrive within ten minutes.
On departure day, please vacate the room by 11 am and drop the key card into the box by the reception desk.
From the A1 exit Ybbs/Wieselburg it is 5 minutes to the front door – 1 hour 20 minutes from Vienna, 1 hour from Linz, 40 minutes from St. Pölten.
The 30 parking spaces at the house are free and cannot be reserved. Four EV charging points with 11 kW each are on the lot (fee applies): they work with the common charging cards or via QR code with a credit card.
For bicycles there is a small garage by the rear entrance.
By train: to Wieselburg an der Erlauf (from Vienna and St. Pölten with a change in Pöchlarn); from the station it is a 15-minute walk.

As a hotel guest you can start breakfast on weekdays as early as 6:30 – practical when your first appointment is early. Mo–Fr 6:30 to 11:00, Sat, Sun and holidays 7:30 to 13:00.

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free: let us know in advance and it will be ready for you.
No, and that is deliberate. In summer, the same surfaces that warm in winter do the cooling: it comes from the floors and wall surfaces, silently and without a draught. The air does not dry out.
The radiant system keeps the room at a pleasant temperature by itself, so there is no thermostat to turn. The windows open normally whenever you want fresh air.
Yes, in selected rooms on the first floor – please ask by email at office@hafnerhotel.at before booking and we will tell you which room fits. Cost per dog: €35 for the first night, €10 for each further night. A dog bed with blanket and bowl are provided, and cleaning is included.
